*says no new case in state, creates emergency centres

Oyo State Government on Friday night shut down all the private and public schoools across the state as CoronaVirus fears gripped residents in the state.
Governor Seyi Makinde who disclosed this after a meeting of the Special Task Force held behind closed doors for over three hours at the Oyo state Government House, Ibadan said the schools are to remain shut until after the Easter holiday.
The governor stated that in addition to these, the state government will create emergency operation centres and two diagnostic centres within 72 hours in the state and to provide two ambullances.
He stressed that the moves were parts of the decisions reached by the state government at the Task Force meeting towards curbing spread of Coronavirus in and across the state.
Governor Makinde who is the Chairman of the Oyo state Task Force on CoronaVirus declared that presently , no new case of CoronaVirus has been reported in the state as the result of the suspects case been awaited proved negative.
He however said the ongoing free medical outreach in the state has been suspended together with the ongoing workers verification exercise in the state.
Governor Makinde tasked religious leaders in the state to comply with the Federal government ban on religious gatherings and partners with the government in tackling the pandemic.
He promised to be giving a daily update on development as regards COVID 19 in the state
