An active member of the Vigilante group of Nigeria (VGN) Muktar Abdullahi Ungogo has commended the Kano State Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje on his untiring efforts at the promotion of security in the state and called on the governor to empower members of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN) to enable them discharge their duties effectively.
He made the commendation in an interview with our correspondent in Kano, adding that Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje is trying his best in the protection of lives and property of the citizens which promotes peaceful co-existence and economic progress of the citizens.
Muktar Abdullahi assured that Vigilante group members are working selflessly to assist the security agencies to investigate and bring out offenders and offensive areas for action against the breach of peace and unity in the society.
He assured that VGN would continue to contribute to the well being of the citizens.
In conclusion, the Vigilante Group official condoled the families and members of the group on the recent death of the group's founding father and commander, Alhaji (Dr) Ali Sokoto who died in the struggle to secure Nigeria's citizens, and thanked CG Umar Bakori for stepping into the shoes of late CG Ali Sokoto.
