A call has been made on Muslim Ummah to financially assist towards the acquisition of a piece of land, to serve as the permanent site of Salama Islamic Centre Abakpa, Kaduna.
The secretary of the school, Ustaz Ahmad Abubakar who made the plea at the sixth graduation ceremony of the institution said the Islamic centre decided to relocate to another place based on a court directive which made it necessary to acquire another piece of land for the siting of the school.
Ustaz Ahmad explained that already a piece of land had been acquired at the cost of N7.5 million, necessitating Muslims support to generate the money for the purchase of the land, to relocate the Abakpa Salama Islamic Centre.
Also commenting on the, Salama Islamic Centre appeal fund, a philanthropist from Kano State, Alhaji Sahalu Abdulkadir Dantata whose father initiated the establishment of the Islamic centre, called on wealthy Muslims to support this noble cause, to enjoy Allah’s blessings.
He said any Muslim who contributes in whatever way towards the upliftment of Islam, would be abundantly rewarded with Aljannah firdausi by Almighty Allah in the hereafter.
Alhaji Sahalu described Abdulkadir Dantata as a kind giver and supporter of Islamic propagation during his life time.
In his remarks, a university lecturer from Umar Musa Yar’adua University, Katsina, Dr. Usman Junaidu described the appeal by the centre as timely towards continuity in imparting Islamic knowledge to Muslim children.
He reminded wealthy Muslims on the importance of committing their wealth to Islamic related activities, such as building schools, mosques support to orphans, the weak and other needy in the society.
In his contribution, a staff of the Kaduna State Ministry of Agriculture, Alhaji Abdullahi Aliyu Musa commended the people of Abakpa for supporting the Islamic centre, and advised Muslims to endeavour to give their children quality Islamic and western education.
