As normalcy is gradually returning to the 33 local governments and the 35 Local Council Development Areas across Oyo State, the state chapter of the National Union Of Local Government Employee (NULGE), on Tuesday ordered its members to resume work on Wednesday.

The Oyo State Chairman of the association, Comrade Bayo Titilola- Sodo anniunced this  at the end of Oyo NULGE meeting held in Ibadan state Secretariat of the association .

He stressed that the go back to work order was as a result of the suspension of the stay away from work order handed over to NULGE members by the association  few weeks ago.

“I wish to inform you that the ongoing STAY AWAY FROM WORK has been suspended today 18th February, 2020 as agreed at the SEC meeting. To this development, all workers are enjoined to kindly go back to their various offices as from tomorrow 19th February, 2020.” he said.

New Nigerian recalled that NULGE directed its members to stay away from work following threats by the sacked local government Chairmen in the state to resume office last month and sacked the Governor Seyi Makinde appointed Caretaker Chairmen from office.

Sensing the looming danger, NULGE ordered its members across the 33 local government and 35 LCDAs to stay at home mid January following the controversy between the Oyo State Government and sacked Chairmen over local government administration in the state.
