ABUTH Set To Separate Conjoined Twins

The Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital (ABUTH) Shika, Zaria is set to separate the conjoined twins girls delivered by Zainab Sale of Hayin Kadege, Tudun Wada, Soba in Soba Local Government area of Kaduna State. 

Our reporter who visited the Pediatric Unit of  the   Hospital saw both the mother and the conjoined twins girls are in a very good health condition.

The hospital’s management is working towards having a successful operation that will separate them as the constant handling the case is away on official engagement outside the country. 

Zainab Sale delivered the conjoined twins girls successfully at home on Thursday 30th January 2020 and  on Monday 3rd February 2020, the husband took the conjoined twins and his wife to the hospital.

The mother said since their arrival at the hospital, they have been receiving good attention from both the hospital staff and other well-meaning individuals.

Also speaking, the husband, Muhammadu Bashir popularly known as Gambo said a lot of people including politicians have been sympathizing with him as well as coming to the hospital to greet his wife. 

One of the matrons on duty, Mrs. Abdulmumini said they were doing their best to make both the mother and the conjoined twins enjoy the good services in the hospital before the operation would be conducted by Dr. Shola Doye on a date to be fixed.
