The Air Officer Commanding (AOC), Training Command, Nigerian Air Force Kaduna, AVM S.S. Bala-Ribah recently embarked on official visits to some organizations in Kaduna with a view to fostering existing cordial relationship between the leadership of the organizations and the training command, while at the same time exploiting the opportunity to forge new fronts.
The visits by the AOC to the Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company, Kaduna State Police Command and Federal Road Safety Corps were aimed at enhancing the fulfillment of NAF. Welfare Objectives to the personnel and the need to deepen collaboration with the organizations.
The visit to PHCN by the AOC was necessitated by the prevailing erratic power supply on NAF Base Kaduna and the AOC informed his host that the NAF holds sensitive facilities and installation that require constant supply of electricity to remain functional.
He therefore, appealed to the management of Kaduna Electric to improve on the power supply to NAF Base.
In his response, the Director of Kaduna Electric, Malam Idris Mohammed assured the AOC that the company would do everything possible to ensure that adequate supply of electricity is provided for NAF as well as other military establishments, adding that the new power sub-station recently commissioned in Kaduna is expected to boost power supply to the NAF Base and its environs.
The AOC, AVM Bala-Ribah, however, at the Kaduna State Police Command, stressed the need for manual working relationship between the NAF and the Nigeria Police.
Responding, the Commissioner of Police, Kaduna State, Mr. Umaru Shehu assured the AOC of his continuous support of the AOC and other security agencies to combat violent crimes in the state.
