Members of the Technicial College Old Students Association (TECOSA), Kaduna have appealed to governments, and well meaning individuals and organizations to help restore the lost glory of the school.
The National President of TECOSA, Taofik Shittu Gora who made this appeal at the Annual General Meeting of the association, held at the school’s premises, explained that the college is currently in a deplorable condition which calls for serious attention.
The national president of the association said the objective of the meeting was to extensively deliberate on various ways on how to address some challenges facing the institution.
Also speaking, the National Secretary of TECOSA, Suleiman Adamu noted that the Technical college, Malali is facing problems of inadequate teaching aid and vital equipment for practical teaching.
He stressed that the problems have been retarding the progress of the technical institutions for many years.
In his remarks, the National Vice President of the Technical Colleg Old Students Association, Alhaji Muhammad Ibrahim Daura, called for the renovation of classrooms, provision and repair of roofs and seats for the students to enhance teaching atmosphere.
He also emphasized the need for enhanced quality of teaching and learning to boost technical education.
Speaking to newsmen at the occasion, the member representing Charanchi constituency in Katsina State House of Assembly and an old student of the college, Lawal Isa Kuraye commended the organisers of the meeting which he said was targeted at uplifting the school.
He urged all old students to contribute in whatever way possible to reduce some of the problems affecting the technical college.
Lawal Kuraye therefore, enjoined old students of the institution to unite and salvage their Alma mata for the development of technical education in the entire northern states.
