Alhaji Aliyu Ndanusa, the Taraba Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) on Tuesday paraded five suspects over alleged attempted murder of a nail cutter at Konna ward in Jalingo.
Parading the suspects to journalists, n Jalingo, Ndanusa noted that the suspects allegedly lured the nail cutter under the pretext that he should follow them and cut finger nails for their oga at another location.
According to him, men of NSCDC Taraba Command got a tip off and followed them to the crime scene where they were arrested and the victim rescued with injuries.
Ndanusa,who named the suspects as Bruno Augustine, Pius Daniel, Elijah Daniel, Destiny Daniel and John Gobai, noted that the victim was already receiving treatment at the Federal Medical Centre, Jalingo.
He said they were arrested on Wednesday at Kona Garu, near Jalingo and would be charged to court on Thursday.
Ndanusa called on criminals to change their ways and become responsible citizens of the society or face the full wrath of the law.
“I want to advise other criminals in the state to turn a new leaf or the command will come hard on anyone perpetrating evil in the state,” he said.
Ndanusa also said the command recently had a joint task force with other sister security agencies which is dealing with crisis in Southern Taraba and other parts of the state.
