Supreme Court has adjourned hearing of Bauchi, Benue and Plateau appeals indefinitely.
Chief Justice of Nigeria, Ibrahim Tanko Muhammad, made the announcement on Tuesday in Abuja.
He said that the court would communicate the new date to the parties involved in the case.
It was reliably gathered that the governors and their supporters stormed Abuja days before the Supreme Court hearing on the appeals from the respective states concerned.
The way and manner politicians from the respective states behaved at the court premises unceremoniously posed a fearful security challenge which seemed to have overwhelmingly enveloped Security personnel in Abuja.
Our correspondent reports that the class in the respective states considered the outcome of the Supreme Court ruling as a do or die affair, a situation which poses serious security questions.
Some of the politicians who slledgely exhibited unruly behavioral political mess were those holding offices from the affected states.
This new twist polilitical cum judicial catastrophic events in the history of the country spells doom for democracy.
