African Christian writers in the 70s like Kamara Laye, Kenneth Kaunda, Julius Nyerere and a host of others tried in their efforts to give a picture of what African spirituality ought to be.

They sought in all efforts to bring out a true Christianity that would have direct impact on the lives of believers in the faith.

Some like Kenneth Kaunda pictured a solemn and deeper consciousnesses in the worship of the Father in Heaven by referring to the kind obtained in the good old days of his clergy father.

On the other hand, writers like Nyerere held that Christian faith ought to be proactive and dynamic to bring out actions necessary for the manifestation of the act of God on man’s life.

To him, if man is an image of God then he cannot help imagining a poorly looking God in a retched African man. He pegged his believe on John 10:10 when Jesus said “…I have so that you may have life and have it more abundantly”.If man is to have this abundance of life then something abundance must happen.

To Nyerere, the faith of a believer must be a moving, action, dynamic and most importantly, a Living Faith.

When Bishop Oyedepo in an eighteen hour vision in May1981, caught the message and meaning of liberating the people from all oppressions of the devil, the gate was let loose and the mission began immediately.

In the vision, Bishop David Oyedepo clearly heard God saying thus, “The hour has come to liberate the world from all oppressions of the devil through the preaching of the word of faith, and I am (God) sending you to undertake this task”.

The vision culminated into Establishment of Living Faith Church. Since Establishment the Church has been on a fast lane of soul winning and soul Establishment in the Christian faith. It has paved the way to the understanding of how and what is required to practice the Christian faith to the advancement of both the individual, the Church and the kingdom of God.

Rather than making baby Christians the Church has in all ramifications entrenched in the minds of members the spirit of strong mind and self-control through the word of faith. Being the richest Pastor in Africa or even the world, Oyedepo has constantly taught and encourage members on true kingdom stewardship and sacrifice as some of the principles of financial prosperity holding the fact that kingdom wealth maketh riches and adds no sorrow.

Today, testimonies of liberation through messages, books, tapes, magazines and other periodicals are most humbling. The word of faith is working like fire for the liberation of mankind across the nations.  The annual event of the Commission tag ‘Shiloh’ always comes up every first or second week of December every year. The prophetic event always witness a number of participants across the globe with viewing centres all over the world.

The 2019 Prophetic event tagged ‘Breaking Limits’ came to a close on Sunday 8th from the 3rd of December.

The event saw many Prophetic declarations on the lives of individuals, the Church, the nation Nigeria and other Nations of the world.

Lamenting the ordeal of Nigerians, Oyedepo called on the government to work out modalities to bring the country out of the dungeon of poverty.

The clergyman in his usual aggressive utterances, lambasted the purported call for the division of the country saying that Nigeria shall remain one. As the event witnessed diverse miracles, signs and wonders, the Prophet unequivocally attributed every bit of it to the heavenly Father.

“There is nothing about my person, it’s just the sender. It’s the virtue of Jesus passing through.God brought me Int the prophetic in 1981.I heard him in 1981.

“He told me seven things in 1982 I heard him say to me, Great Churches will be built in every nation where you go into. We run one of the largest publishing facilities in this continent. It’s not on merit, it’s an election of grace”, the clergy submitted.

Indeed, the event was refreshing as members were reassured of heavenly blessings, protection and guidance.

Over 153 Nations of the world took part in the event with over 7,000 foreign delegates from 53 countries on ground in Cannanland.’

Breaking Limits’ indeed, is mandatory especially for Africa and Africans. The continent has long been under the siege of devilish oppressions for long. It is time to break. it is time to move forward, Bishop Oyedepo, having being in liberation movement for a while, has provided the platform for others to hook on in order to provoke the supernatural in the Great Commission.

The world is earnestly awaiting the manifestation of the sons of God and it is time to make this happen.
