Following the dismissal of a suit filed at the Court of Appeal, on Thursday, from Isa Ashiru and the affirmed judgment of the Election Tribunal that the incumbent Governor, Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai was duly returned as governor by lawful votes, several supporters thronged the Government House to celebrate the victory.
The Court of Appeal Kaduna State, reaffirmed el-Rufai, saying, Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai was duly re-elected as Governor of Kaduna State.
The Governor appreciated members of the party and religious leaders who were at the Government House in Kaduna to congratulate him.
He applauded them for their believe and sacrifices they made to the state government, adding that he has never asked anyone to rig elections and they are sure that they don’t have a fake mandate.
“It is not a matter of life and death.
“I am relieved that the election has been validated”, he said.
He thanked the delegation of the party and religious leaders for standing in for them from the beginning to the end, playing their various roles for All Progressive Congress (APC), to succeed.
el-Rufai, assured the state of doing his best to correct their mistakes and ensure they raise the policy of putting people first which is their first priority.
The Governor noted, they have made a promise of commitments to take Kaduna State to greater heights, while expressing gratitude for their support and believe in this administration.
