Masari Tasks Ulamas, Followers Of Islamic Group On Unity Of Muslims

Katsina State Governor, Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari has enjoined Ulamas and followers of the State branch of Munazzamatu Fitiyanul Islam to pay more attention towards ensuring unity among Muslim Ummah.

Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari was speaking at a three-day workshop organized by the religious group as part of the annual activities to commemorate the birth of the founder of the sect, Sheikh Ahmad Tijjani who died hundreds of years ago.

The Governor expressed hope that all papers to be presented would contain similar message of encouraging unity among Muslims.

Governor Aminu Bello Masari promised that the state government would study all the papers to be presented with a view to see where it can assist in achieving the set goal.

The Governor emphasized that the task before the Ulamas are enemours considering the security challenges facing the States in the North.

He said herders involved in the armed banditry activities are ignorant of Islamic Education and before admonished Ulamas to be prepared in educating them.

On its part he said the Katsina State Government would construct more schools, clinics, rehabilitate the broken down and dried earth dams at the forest areas where majority of herders reside in addition to re-demarcation of cattle routes and grazing reserves encroached by farmers.

Alhaji Aminu Masari therefore enjoined  traditional rulers to assist in ensuring cattle routes and grazing reserves encroached by farmers in their areas are successfully demarcated.

Earlier, Emir of Katsina. Alhaji Abdulmumini Kabir Usman appreciated the loyalty and total submission to Allah by the Ulamas and followers of the Darika sect who pay more attention to Salatul Nabiyyu, and all forms of religious worship and prayers for peace in the state.

Alhaji Abdulmumini Kabir Usman urged them to do more in that regard adding that, their religious worship and intense prayer was a Jihad among mankind.

The Emir who urged them to remain stead fast in their total submission to their creator also reminded them on the need to respect leaders at any level.

Also speaking, Chairman Organizing Committee of the annual event Dr. Abdul’aziz Ahmad Mashi said the annual National event was among others intended to sensitize Muslim Ummah on the contribution of Sheikh Ahmadu Tijjani in propagating the religion of Islam to mankind.

He said prominent Islamic scholars from different Darika branches and Universities are expected to present papers at the event.

Dr. Abdul’aziz Mashi said at the end of the workshop a book would be produced as a documented piece as legacy for the upcoming generation.
