Yobe State Government has signed a contractual agreement of over 2.8 billion Naira with Euro Africa Energy limited to construct a modern market in Damaturu.
Speaking at the occasion of signing the contractual agreement ceremony, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Commerce Industry and Tourism, Alhaji Goni Ali Gujba called on stakeholders and people of Damaturu to express gratitude to the present administration of Governor Mai Mala Buni for his good policies and programmes in the state.
The permanent secretary equally called on all stakeholders to give their maximum support to actualize the project for the benefit of Damaturu Local Government Area and the state as a whole.
Goni Ali Gujba also charged the contractor to ensure that the work has been completed within the period of the contractual agreement and ensure quality work.
He said that the contract was awarded to the Euro Africa Energy limited on the cost of over 2.8 billion Naira and thirty per cent mobilising fee has been paid to the contractor.
In their separate remarks, the permanent secretaries of ministries of Land and Housing, Budget and Planning and members of the actualization of Damaturu Modern Narket expressed their joy to the present administration of Governor Mai Mala Buni for his good policies and programmes in the state.
They called on the contractor to ensure quality work and completion of the project according to the contractual agreement.
Also contributing, the Director General Bureau for Public Procurement, Alhaji Samaila Mai Adamu called on the people of the state and all stakeholders to appreciate efforts of Governor Mai Mala Buni for providing developmental projects to the good people of the state and called on the contractor to ensure quality work and completion the project according to the specification.
The chairman of Euro Africa and Energy limited Umaru Sanda expressed his gratitude to Governor Mai Mala Buni and ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism for choosing his company to handle the project and promised to fulfill all contractual agreement.
Highpoint of the occasion was signing of the contractual agreement between Yobe State government and Euro Africa and Energy limited in the present of Representatives of ministries of Justice, Land and Housing and Budget and planning respectively.
