Collapsed Building Claims Four Lives In Lagos

At least four persons  have reportedly lost their lives on Saturday when a structure built on a hill situated at Magodo-Isheri area of Lagos collapsed.
Director  General of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Dr Femi Oke-Osayintolu, who confirmed the casualty figure said the tragedy struck early on Saturday.
He said that those who were trapped in the rubble had been rescued and rushed to a hospital while emergency officials were on the ground to ensure safety at the scene.
Meanwhile there was an earlier report of a portion  of an old storey building which caved in at Rademo street behind a recreation centre in Ita- Elewa area Ikorodu following the heavy rainfall in the state.
Mr. Oke-osanyintolu said the building is obviously an old one built with mud bricks which is seriously distressed with visible cracks.
Rescue operations are still ongoing at the sites of the tragedy as at the time of filing the report.
