Robbery Suspect In Military Camouflage Held In Lagos

The exhibit recovered from the robbery suspect Chizoba Okeke arrested by police operatives at Rainbow filling station in Festac.


Police operatives in Lagos have apprehended a robbery suspect that usually robs his victims in military camouflage.
Two daggers, a sword, house breaking implements, two phones, a POS machine and ATM card were said to have been recovered from him.

Identified as  Chizoba Okeke, 30 years old,  It was learnt that the suspect was arrested by detectives attached to Festac Police Station, following distress call.

Arrested at about 9.30pm on 3rd October, 2019, our correspondent gathered that he was apprehended at a filling station at 2nd Rainbow area of Festac when sighted by the public.
The police public relations officer Lagos State Command DSP Bala Elkana confirmed the arrest in a release to journalists.
His words, ” On 3/10/2019 at about 2330 hours, Festac Police Station received a distress call from a filling station at 2nd Rainbow Festac, that an armed robber was sighted along the area. 
Anti Robbery Patrol team was promptly drafted to the location. The suspect who was identified as Chizoba Okeke “m” 30yrs  old was arrested. Items recovered from him includes Two phones, one Sword, house breaking implements, two daggers, a POS machine and ATM card. 
Investigation is ongoing to ascertain where and how he got the military uniform he operates with and to also identify other members of his gang.
It is not yet established whether he belongs to the gang of dismissed soldiers arrested some weeks ago.
The suspect will be charged to Court as soon as investigation is concluded”.
