Masari Receives 15 Victims Released By Bandits

Governor Aminu Bello Masari of Katsina State has received the last batch of the people released by bandits operating in Jibia Local Government Area of the state.

The 15 people including a day old baby girl that was delivered in the forest few hours before the release of it’s mother arrived Government House around 1am, Sunday, October 6,2019.

The victims said they  were kidnapped from  Mallamawa village 45days ago and since that fateful day, nobody knew their whereabouts. 

They commended the Governor’s dialogue programme which paved the way  for their release. 

  Speaking earlier, Governor Aminu Masari said the next level of the dialogue would be disarmament of the repentant bandits with Governors of Zamfara and Maradi in Niger Republic were working to actualize. 

Those with Governor Bello Masari to receive the rescued persons includes; Secretary to the Government of Katsina State, Dr Mustapha Muhammed Inuwa, Chairman MaxAir, Alhaji Dahiru Bara’u Mangal and the state Chairman of the APC, Alhaji Shitu S. Shitu. In his remarks, Transition Committee Chairman of Jibia Local Government Council, Alhaji Haruna Musa said normalcy has returned in the area.
