Recurring armed banditry, kidnapping for ransom, insurgency, armed robbery cases and other related volatile security challenges bedevilling parts of the country calls for interfaith fervent prayers to seek for God’s intervention, a Baptist Clergy and Reverend in charge of the Rahama Baptist Church at Jadna area of Paiko council area of Niger state, Reverend Zachariah B. Gora has said.
Reverend Zachariah B. Gora said Nigerians, irrespective of faith, must seek for the face of God almighty against the vexed insecurity challenges which have remained despite military and police onslaughts.
He stressed that both Christians and Muslims alike must see the current security challenges in the country as wake up call to up their prayers and supplication to God to end the pains and killings by heartless and ungodly elements.
The Baptist Clergy said during his recent sermon in the church that solutions to the myriad security challenges across the country may be through fervent prayers by all even as he charged that ensuring security for lives and property was everybody’s business without exception.
Rev. Gora said Nigerians must collectively stand up to the terrible state of affairs where bands of criminally minded persons have been causing pains, anguish, death and economic destruction in parts of the country.
Gora tasked the Niger state government to scale up it’s commitment to address insecurity issues in areas where several communities have been displaced by armed bandits.
He noted that the pathetic state of affairs in parts of the state was so bad that life was becoming frustrated amongst dwellers of several communities in parts of the state. ==//==
