All Progressives Congress (APC), in Kebbi State on Wednesday suspended a member representing Gwandu Constituency at the state House of Assembly, Hon. Habibu Labbo Gwandu from the party.

Announcing his suspension before newsmen at party’s secretariat, Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Sani Dododo said the member was suspended for anti party activities in his constituency, Gwandu.

” This member called Habibu Labbo, we gave him all support and cooperation he needed to become a member of the State Assembly during the last elections under our respected party, APC but, today we are looking at his cooperation to select a candidate who will stand as consensus candidate that will  contest during the forth-coming local government election, he refused and rejected him” Dododo further stated.

“This boy did not stop from there but, went ahead and breached our constitution and manifestos  of our party by summoning a meeting with some members of our party to a meeting that held in Argungu and Sokoto without consulting of any member of the state leadership,” Dododo added.

The Publicity Secretary however said, “when all these happened, we went through our party’s constitution and found out that any member that commits such act, his penalty is suspension and that is why we suspended him from our party.”

When our correspondent made attempts to contact Hon. Habibu Gwandu, his phone lines were all switched off.
