Governor Mala Buni Vows To Protect Lives, Property Of Yobe Citizens

Governor Mai Mala Buni has assured that his administration is committed to protecting lives and property of the citizens through engaging security operatives on regular check up and peaceful operation in the state.

The Governor explained this on Tuesday while presiding over a meeting with security and representatives of farmers and cattle rearers from Tarmuwa Local Government Area of the state.

The Governor who was represented by his deputy, Alhaji Idi Barde Gubana, speaking at the Government House Damaturu, said, his administration would not relent its effort towards engaging security operatives and vigilantes to continue regular operations in the state to ensure that lives and property of the people of the state are protected.

Chairing the meeting, the governor said the aim was to find time for a lasting solution to the crisis in the area.

The meeting was attended by Commissioner of Police Yobe State Command, Commandant Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Chairman of the Council and representatives of both two parties and top government officials.

It would be recalled that recently the people of Tarmuwa LGA experienced clashes between farmers and cattle rearers which sought the attention of government to intervene.
