Katsina State Governor, Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari has said that the fight against insecurity is a collective responsibility of all meaning citizens.
Governor Aminu Masari made the remarks when he received the Minister of Interior Ogbemi Ra’uf Aregbisola who paid him a sympathy visit at Government house, Katsina.
According to him, the visit of the Minister afford him an opportunity to deliberated more on the ways forward in order to stop un necessary killings of innocent lives, kidnapping, banditry and rape that are happenings in the State.
The Governor appreciated the Minister for the sympathy visit and offered to help Katsina State in strengthening security.
Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari therefore, appealed to the Federal Government to do all what it required to ensure the problem did not spread to other parts of the country.
Earlier, the Minister of Interior Ra’uf Aregbisola said the visit was to commensurate with the Katsina State Government on the threat of lives of people in some sections of the State which according to him was a concern of the Federal Government.
The Minister said they discussed on the strategies to curtail the problem.
He assured that the Federal Government would not spare any effort in securing the lives of its citizens.
The Minister was in company of the comptroller General of Immigration Service and that of Security and Civil Defence Corps among others.
