The Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company (PHEDl, has traced the current outage being experienced in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital and Eket to a faulty 132kv line belonging to the Transmission Company of Nigeria, TCN.
John Onyi, Manager, Corporate Communications of PHED disclosed this in a release made available to New Nigerian Newspapers in Uyo on Wednesday.
He said that the technical crew from the TCN was making frantic effort to ensure that the fault is fixed for normal supply to be restored.
“PHED, therefore, appeals for the patience and understanding of its esteemed customers while waiting for the restoration of power supply”.
Electricity consumers in the affected areas in the state in the past few days have been experiencing power outage as a result of the problem now identified by the power agency.
