Security Operatives Intercept 6 Mine Resistant Military Vehicles On Nigeria/Cameroon Border

By; TINA PHINEAS, Yola
Security operatives in Adamawa have intercepted six Mine Resistant Military Vehicles  in Konkol, a borderline village in Maiha Local Government Area of Adamawa State, between Nigeria and Cameroon republic.
However,  at the time of filing this report,  it is not clear whether the vehicles were exiting or coming into the country, nor who were manning the military hardware.
Anonymous sources within the Nigeria Customs told New Nigerian  that the seized six mine resistant equipment are at the Customs Area Command in Yola.
Our source who insisted not to be  quoted for want of authority disclosed that,  it was a joint operations, involving, the Customs, the DSS, Army and other operatives, that led to the seizure.

“You may wish to contact the Customs Public Relations Officer in Abuja, you’ll be furnished with more information”, the officer said.

Efforts to reach Public Relations Officers involved in the joint operations did not succeed as phone calls directed to their respective GSM phones were not answered.
