Christians all over the world have been called upon to be like Christ with a compassionate heart toward their fellow brethren.
The call was made on Sunday, by Reverend Philip Omoniyi of Bethel Baptist Church, in Kaduna.
The clergyman, took his Bible passage from Luke 18:36, citing the blind man who was sitting by the road side begging, when he saw Jesus passing by he shouted for help, but the crowd rebuked him, when Jesus heard him, he miraculously regained his sight.
The clergyman appealed to Christians to stop grumbling and complaining, instead they should devote themselves into praying, wake up from slumbering, never allow to follow the crowd but always depending on Jesus.
Speaking further, he cited Luke 19:1-10, that Zachaeous, was a short man in nature, he could not see Jesus because of the crowd, but he move ahead of the crowd to see Jesus, when Jesus saw him, salvation came into his house, he said.
He admonished Christians that, they are instruments in the hand of God in prayer, love and services.
Reverend Omoniyi plead with Christians who keep malice and fighting, to desist from it, all what we need is to have a compassionate heart with one another and show brotherly love which Jesus Christ have lay down for Christians to abide with, he said.
