The success recorded in the aviation sector that reduced the rate of air accidents has been attributed to safety consciousness of the operators.
This was the submission of the Public Relations Manager of Dana Air Services, Bashir Chedi while speaking to New Nigerian Newspapers in Kaduna on Tuesday.
According to him airline operators are more concerned about safety and training and retraining of air operators which had stem the tide of air disasters.
Bashir who is also the chairman of Kaduna state chapter of NIPR, noted that with the bracing up of operators, air disasters would be reduced drastically and more attention will be paid on the improvement of nations airports.
He said that safety of passengers must be the main concern in airline business, adding that ‘Nigeria is a safe haven for air business which would impress foreign investors thereby booming our economy’.
He implored operators to take safety and training of personnel more serious so as to pave way for other would_be operators to come on board.
The public relations manager noted that Dana Air of more conscious on safety more than other aspects, saying that zero air accident is the hallmark of Dana and implored others to emulate Dana.
