Educate, Sensitise Nigerians On Medical Issues, UCH CMD Tasks Media

The Chief Medical Director, University College Hospital, (UCH), Professor Jesse Abiodun Otegbayo on Thursday tasked media organisations in the country to embark on education and sensitization of the public on medical issues.
Professor Otegbayo gave the charge while receiving the leadership of National Association of Women Journalists i(NAWOJ) in Oyo state , led by the state’s Chairperson of the association , Comrade Jadesola Ajibola on a Courtesy visit to the  CMD office in Ibadan
The CMD declared that this became necessary as a way of aiding timely prevention of diseases in the society.Emphasizing that UCH has been collaborating with the media over the years for the development in the health sector, the CMD assured the NAWOJ leaders  that UCH will give necessary support to the Association from time to time.
Earlier, the Oyo state NAWOJ Chairperson ,Comrade Jadesola Ajibola informed the CMD of the plans by the association to provide zebra crossing at the entrance of the University College Hospital, UCH on Wednesday, 21st of August, 2019 through the support of Gates of Praise Foundation.
Comrade Jadesola Ajibola said this will be the association’s contribution towards ensuring safety precautions for patients coming in and out of the hospital.
The NAWOJ Chairperson however requested the collaboration of  UCH on gender issues such as intervention and quick response for victims of abuse, maternal and child care as well as accident cases that may require medical attention from the institution.
