The Olowa of Igbara-Oke, Oba Francis Adefarakanni Agbede has extolled the virtues of the Governor of Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredoou and his wife, Arabinrin Betty Anyanwu_Akekeredolu saying, “this government has brought unprecedented development to the state in the last three years.
Oba Agbede who made the remark at the opening ceremony of a two week “2019 Bemore Summer Boot Camp” holding at Ilaramokin, Ifedore local government, disclosed the extent of his assessment of the present administration in areas of Health, Education and provision of rural infratstructures across the state.
According to him, achievements at the Bemore Empowerment training project will linger long in the memories of the children as soon as they master one trade or the other to become employers of labour later in life.
While charging the beneficiaries to always make good use of the golden opportunity the First Lady has offered them, he assured the First Lady that, “these children you are empowering will never forget you since children hardly forget their benefactors”.
Earlier in her address, the first Woman Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs in the state, Hon. Lola Fagbemi described Betty as a legend of Women of eloquent value who has laid a land mark for herself and generations yet unborn.
According to her, what the First Lady is doing is unique in all affairs of Women endeavour, adding that, ” you girls can rule the world going by the kind exposure the wife of the Governor is offering you”.
Speaking at the occasion, the wife of Ondo state Governor, Arabinrin Betty Anyanwu_ Akeredolu disclosed that her pet project, “Bemore” has reshaped over 750 young girls in child narrative.
For two years, she said, 750 girls were given the training that will change the narrative of the girl child while another batch of 250 girls are currently undergoing a similar training for the year 2019.
Arabinrin Akeredolu gave a brief disposition of all trades that are capable to reshape the lives of the students that were drawn from all the 18 local government areas of the state.
She how ever welcomed the girls to what she described as unending opportunities where their capabilities are limitless, she also assured the participants that they will learn all they need to become a complete woman.
Speaking as a mother, she counselled the young girls to stop seeing themselves as inferior to their male counterparts adding that they will be synosure of all eyes if they summit themselves to the golden opportunity the training will offer.
