Christians, service of thanksgiving is one of the significant ways of expressing gratitude to God for His goodness and love toward mankind.
Towards this end, World Missionary Church, African Communion with headquarters at No. 11 Ikot Udoro Street, Uyo, Akwa Ibom state, will this Sunday hold a special session of Thanksgiving Service to glorify God for the numerous fulfilling prophesies in the Church through the mouth of the Prelate, Dr. Godwin Icon.
The prophesies, no doubt, are time tested and confirmed by the recipients, thus, speaking volume for whom God has called to service in His vineyard, and testimonies that God is the same yesterday, today and for ever.
The ceremony will be a twins event as it coincides with the Harvest Service, a moment for members of the Church to present the harvests from their labour to God whose in abundance of His grace and riches, they reap.
Several other events expected to edify the spirit and souls will also feature to make the day memorable to all and to the glory of God.
It is expected to be grace by people from all strata of lives who in one accord, will congregate together to worship and praise God in His beauty and holiness.
Speaking to our correspondent on the event, chairman of the central planning committee, Presiding Elder John Peter Umoh said the ceremony became necessary looking at the blessings that go with thanksgiving which come from the heart.
“In World Missionary Church, we are blessed to have Dr. Godwin Icon as our Pastor. It will not be out of place also for us as members of the Church to appreciate him too because for one to hear and prophecy in Jesus name and it comes to past required selfless sacrifice in line with the scriptures.
“Some of us have been members of one church denomination or the other since we were born, driven by either family forces or the other before coming here so we have seen the different and this is clear that whom God has called, He glorify Himself for many to see and testify”, Presiding Elder Umoh added.
He called on lovers of Christ Jesus within Akwa Ibom State and outside to join in the celebration and give God the glory for who He is to the world.
