The Coordinator in charge Zone “A” of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) Assistant Controller of Customs Mrs. K.C Ekekezie has frowned at officers living above their means, imploring that they should discharge their duties with the fear of God.
She posited that the eyes of God is too holy to behold iniquities, admonishing all and sundry to live right, adding that no one knows when rapture will come.
Further, the ACG condemned in strong term officers that conspire with smugglers to sabotage the nation:s economy, saying officers must confom with the laws.
Ekekezie spoke at the headquarters of the Nigeria Customs Christians Fellowship (NCCF) at the Customs Training College, Ikeja, recently where dignatories converged for the celebration of the Zone “A” 2019 Congress.
” We must read to enlighten ourselves, every officer must read from page to page of our ‘SEMA” to kow our power as officers. Officers should live within their income.
You will not be happy if you are called to Abuja to answer query. We should try to be salt of the earth and we should touch lives in our work, family and country.
Apostle Paul admonishes us in Hebrew 12, 14 to make very effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy, without holiness no one will see the Lord”, she emphasized.
Speaking further, she said, “if you keep youself pure, you will be special utsensil for honourable use. Your life will be clean and you will be ready for the master to use you for every good work.”
However, the Customs Zone “A” Coordinator commended the NCCF, saying it is playing a great role in raising God fearing men and women whom God could depend on, especially this end-times, officer who are heaven bound.
Adding that the trait always reflect in all their conducts, the Zonal Coordinator noted that the officers are constantly in His presence where there is fullness of joy quoted from Psalm 16;11.
Ekekezie, who however emphasised that there is always room for improvement, advised the officers and men to be prayerful and should not rest on their oars.
Pointing out that Custom duty is very assadious, the Customs ACG maintained that they will always overcome temptations if they key into God’s commandments and the rule of the work.
“God wants us to be in his presence always, am not saying that officers should abandon their jobs and stay in the church or chapel, God’s presence can be with us anywhere, if we are working with him.
Yes, we are being encouraged by Apostle Paul to strip off everything that hinder us which will lead us into sin’. We should rather look unto Jesus Christ, the author and finisher of our faith. Even though he knew what lay before him (teribble, shameful death) yet he persevered, endured all the shame and eventually sat in the right hand of the “Throne of God” Hebrews 12;1.” Ekekezie admonished.
While commenting on shedding weight, she said, “We cannot talk of “Shedding Weight” without mentioning of corrupt practices and the Comptroller – General of Customs stance concerning this. As children of God, we cannot please God if we are not mindful of the three things that are close to God’s heart namely; His word, butressing her words with the books of Isaiah 55;11, John 1:1, Matthew 4:4, The souls of men (Matthew 16:26, Proverb 11:30).
Deliberating on the three cardnal points she asserted that God wants us to win souls, but pointed out that what is going on today is the struggling between God and satan battling for men’ souls.
” If we have fear of God, people will not be kidnapping their fellow human-being, robbery and smuggling will stop.and all forms of evil practices” she stressed.
The Customs Zone “A” Coordinator said children of God must take their race to preach, urging them not to be discouraged about the acceptance of their message by the audience.
She said, ” When we talk to people, some will listen to change, don’t keep quiet, speak the word of God becaue you are a child of God. Speak the word of your father, not word of satan. Try to infuse the word of God in whatever you are doing and you will win souls for Christ”.
Ekekezie, who disclosed that her mother has once preached in the Aeroplane and nobody stopped her, urged that ” we must speak to people, win them and don’t allow satan from where you are win them”.
Also speaking at the occasion, a former Coordinator of NCCF pastor Austine Mwosu corroborated the sermon of Ekekezie, saying they are truly God’s inspired message.
He described ACG K.C. Ekekezie as a woman of God that seek God’s face in her conducts, saying she always pray in her office everyday before starting work.
Nwosu, who added that she is a leader by example, said the NCCF is greatful and proud of her,.
Also, Comptroller Tade Adeoye, the Comptroller (Administrator) , Zonal Headquarter Zone “A”, who showered ecomium on her, whoscribed ACG K.C. Ekekezie as a woman that had performed beyond Esther in all her dealing and prayed that God will continue to strengthen her.
