5 Robbers Nabbed, Locally Made Pistol, 10 Unexpended Cartridges Recovered In Lagos

Police operatives have apprehended five suspected notorious armed robbers cum cultists at the weekend in Lagos.
One locally made pistol and 10 unexpended cartridges were said to have been recovered from them.
The suspects were identified as Ibrahim Abu 32yrs leader of the gang, Samuel Usai, John Nwaru, Emmanuel Moro and Michael Daniel.
Our correspondent gathered that the they were arrested by police detectives attached to Ilasan Police Station following credible information.
Report says they were nabbed at a location behind Angle 90 Bar at about 13:30 hrs while planning for an operation on 19th July, 2019.
The Lagos State Police Command Public Relations Officer DSP Bala Elkana confirmed the arrest in a release made available to journalists on Sunday.
It reads, ” On 19/07/19 at about 1330hrs, Ilasan Police Station received that, a group of hoodlums, suspected to be armed robbers/cultists, were sighted behind angle 90 bar, Ilasan, Lekki.  A team of policemen was quickly mobilized to the scene.
The leader of the gang, named Ibrahim Abu ‘m’ 32yrs old and four others, namely: Samuel Usai ‘m’; John Nwaru ‘m’; Emmanuel Moro ‘m’ and Michael Daniel ‘m’, were arrested.
On searching the suspects, one locally made pistol with ten (10) unexpended cartridges were recovered. Investigation is ongoing, suspects will be charged to Court”.
