NSE Kabuga Branch Committed To Boosting Engineering Profession – Chairman

The chairman Kabuga branch of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Professor O.A. Uche has assured that the branch  would continue to boost engineering profession to cope with global technology.

He stated this in an interview with our correspondent in his office, adding that engineers remain the pillars of development as they render excellent services that are mostly needed by all bodies as professionals.

Professor Uche added that Kabuga branch came into existence when some patriotic members of the NSE teamed up and requested the creation of the branch for better management and services, which resulted in the general development of the branch as witnessed.

He gave an example of the branch’s 2019 annual dinner and award night that was held recently, where prominent and professional engineers converged and discussed the way forward for the progress of Kabuga branch, engineering profession and the unity of the members.

Commenting on the awards that were given at the award night, Professor Uche explained that the award was categorised into two which are the corporate and individual awards where some corporate bodies were honoured for their contributions to the development of engineering services within their corporate activities, while the individual awards were given to some individuals that incorporate engineering activities into programmes at all levels.

Furthermore, the Kabuga branch chairman stated that the induction of some members at the annual dinner was to let the general public know that those who were inducted are to be regarded as members of the engineering profession.

Similarly, he said the branch will continue to work selflessly towards the progress of the Nigerian society of engineers and it’s teaming members and announced the society’s annual conference and  general meeting in Kano in the month of September this year.

In conclusion, Professor Uche thanked the executive Vice chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) ),  Engineer  Umar Garba Dambatta   for gracing the annual dinner, and all other invited guests, members of the society, corporate and individual  award receipients, members of the press and the executive officers of Kabuga branch for making the event very colourful.
