Jubilation as Kokodiagbene Secondary School Gets New Principal

It was funfare as students, teachers and community leaders, Kokodiagbene Secondary School, Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South West Local Government Area, Delta State has, celebrated a sentforth party for their outgoing principal, Mr. Kennedy Agoro who served the school for three years.

The occasion which took place Saturday at the Kokodigbene community,  the founder, Comrade Sheriff Mulade also used the occasion to celebrate new Chief inspector of Education for Warri South West, Mr. Iyara Joshua who also graced the  occasion with the outgoing CIE, Mrs.Christy Okerie.

The excitement across Kokodigbene community was radiant on the faces of students, members of the community who witnessed the joyous occasion to appreciate the principal who was tagged as the best principal in the local government area. durring the occasion, Mr. Johnson Isene was also awarded the best teacher in the school.

The originator and founder of the school, Comrade Mulade welcomed the new principal, Mr. Ozugbo Pius and commended the outgoing principal for doing his best to put the students on the pedestrian of elevated academic standards.

The outgoing principal during an interview said “Kokodiagbene secondary school students are always ready to participate in any academic exercise such as quiz competitions and public debates. The school is unique, having boarding facilities, male and female hotel. There is a consistent school feeding programme since the inception of the school.”

Kokodiagbene Secondary school is the only secondary school in the Warri South-West and the entire Gbaramatu Kingdom that can boast of a boarding facility, a luxury male and female hostel at different locations of the community, with consistent feeding programme gulping the sum of N2.6 million monthly.

Students from different ethnic groups and locations, Itsekiri, Urhobo Ijaw, Isoko and surrounding communities are attending the school as professional teachers take academic lead of imparting knowledge.

Mulade who appreciated the teachers, the outgoing principal, parents and students said “Education is the key for lasting development. Much is spent on feeding the students because education is a valuable asset,  Kokodigbene secondary school have come to stay, I commend The custodian of the school for remaining in Kokodiagbene secondary school to impact knowledge. The community and leaders are also commended for accommodating the teachers.

“The governor of Delta State, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa is also commended for his contributions to the success of the school” he said.
