The Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Tanko Muhammad, Supreme Court Justices, members of the Bench and Bar, the Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde and the Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Debo Ogundoyin are among the dignitaries expected at the maiden edition of the Justice Pius Olayiwola Aderemi lecture series coming up on Monday, July 22, 2019.
The lecture with the topic; Governance and Good Governance: The Role of Government will be delivered by former Ambassador/Permanent Delegate of Nigeria to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation, UNESCO, Emeritus Professor Michael Omolewa and it will be chaired by the CJN, Justice Muhammad.
According to a statement by one of the children of Justice Aderemi, who died on June 18, 2018, Mr. Tolu Aderemi, the lecture programme will be an annual event to hounour the late jurist, saying, this year’s lecture will hold at Aare Afe-Babalola Center, the Nigerian Bar Association, Ibadan Branch, Iyaganku, Ibadan by 11am.
