The Government of Ondo State onTuesday allayed the fears of parents and guardians over the delay of the conduct of the JSS3 and SS1 exams for 2019 academic year.
A release by the Commissioner for Information and Orientation in the state, Mr. Donald Ojogo which was made available to journalists in Akure debunked the allusion which has generated tension created by the delay over the Social Media.
According to the Commissioner, the genuine concerns expressed by parents are noted and cannot be said to be misplaced.
He regretted that the warped report is utterly misleading and smacks of ignorance of workings of government adding that it is particularly disheartening that stringent administrative measures being put in place to engender and instill quality education are being misconstrued and warped to incite the public.
For the avoidance of doubt, he said, both examinations will hold on Wednesday July 17, 2019 and it should be particularly made clear that the premium focus placed on the education sector by the government of “ARAKUNRIN OLUWAROTIMI AKEREDOLU, SAN” remains sacrosanct and unwavering.
The government, he said, wishes all prospective candidates the best of luck in their respective examinations.
