Not less than N203.2 billion revenue was generated by the Apapa Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) in the half year of 2019, its Controller has said.
The Command’s Controller, Comptroller Abba-Kura made the disclosure during a press briefing in Apapa.
He also revealed that the N203.2billipn represents 54.5% of the annual revenue target of the Command.
According to him, the Command has monthly revenue target of N31 billion and yearly target of N372.5billion.
He added that the amount realised in half year of 2019, shows an increase of N26.5billion when compared to what the Command generated in the same period in 2018.
The Apapa Customs boss also revealed that about 29 containers with various items were seized because of non compliance with government fiscal policies.
