The Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Dr Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe on Tuesday, commended the National Association of Kaduna State Medical Students (NAKSMS) for the improvement of healthcare in the state.
Deputy Governor, Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, received the leadership of the National Association of Kaduna State Medical Students, who came to Government House on courtesy visit, in Kaduna.
They were in her office to congratulate her and Governor Nasir Ahmad el-Rufai for their victory in the last elections and to intimate her of the activities of the association.
Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe appreciated them on their courage to take a step into diverse training in their studies, assuring them of the state government’s support to empower them in the areas of their fields.
Kaduna State Deputy Governor, Dr. Hadiza who was a graduate of Medicine from University of Maiduguri, counselled the students to pay more attention to their studies.
According to her, “you are advised to concentrate on your studies as a medical student so that when you graduate, you will have a solid delivery to the state.”
Dr. Hadiza pledged to support them in the areas of their programmes, assuring them of her interest in promoting a healthy society, while adding that they need to be better than where they are.
Hadiza urged them to always liaise with the Ministry of Health for support to the association’s community service weeks and observance of World Health Days.
The welfare of the medical students was discussed and she urged them to concentrate on their studies for them to graduate to be very useful to the society.
The leader of the delegation of National Association of Kaduna State Medical Students, Salim Abdullahi, appreciated the state government, for the gesture bestowed on them.
He assured the Deputy Governor of their diligence to service delivery to the state, assuring her of their respective responsibility in making the state achieve the development expected from them.
