The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Kaduna State Branch said it was high time the government, security agencies and all stakeholders put an end to the security challenges facing the country.
The Chairman of the Branch, Sule Shu’aibu demanded this in his address during the Law Week 2019 held in Kaduna.
He said the killings, kidnapping, cattle rustling, armed robbery, banditry and others have affected every aspect of development and is hurting all citizens.
The Chairman added that sit and look theory will not help the country, hence the need for every hands to be on deck.
Speaking on the theme of this Law Week’ Security Challenges in Nigeria, Legal perspectives and Solutions’ Barrister Shu’aibu said the branch has assembled some of the best brain in Legal practice to proofer solution to the menace.
This Includes: The Executive Vice Chairman, Kaduna Peace Commission, Barrister Baba Lawal Aliyu and Wole Agunbiade SAN.
Shu’aibu disclosed that their choice is because of their pedigree, versatility and sound knowledge in their given topics.
The Deputy leader of the Bar Festus Okoye said the insecurity challenges in the country today needs holistic approach and the Bar can not be left behind.
He commended the Kaduna Branch of the Bar for choosing to brainstorm on the insecurity bedeviling the country.
Speaking on the Law Week’s celebration Barrister Festus Okoye said it is an avenue for promotion and advancement of legal education, continuing legal education, Advocacy, jurisprudence and law reporting.
