The forum of aspirants of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Tuesday rejected the proposed indirect governorship  primaries slated for August 2019.
Mr Ben Adaji, the spokesman of the forum disclosed this in a chat with journalists in Jalingo.
Adaji, who contested APC ticket for house of representative in the state in last elections said the APC stakeholders, who reportedly endorsed the indirect governorship primaries  were not known by the party members in the state.
According to him, the direct primaries would be more transparent so as to give the APC members in the state  the opportunity to select a candidate that can guarantee success for the party at the Nov 2019 governorship poll.
“The APC aspirant forum which comprises over 100 members totally reject the adoption of indirect APC  governorship primaries in Kogi.
“we will no longer allow manipulation to take centre stage in the APC for the good of the party.
“Gov Yahaya Bello’s appointees cannot just seat somewhere and decide want happens in the party.
“We call on the National Secretariat of the APC learn from the experience of Rivers and Zamfara states where the courts nullify the party’s primaries over impunity by some members of the party,” he said.
