Trust For African Rock Arts Enlightens People On Importance



The Senior Adviser Trust for African Rock Arts (TARA), Terry Little has identify public enoghtenment on the important of Rock Arts all over the world will give people a sense of understanding the important of Rock cultural heritage.
He stated this in an interview in Zaria during an exhibition development  workshop held at the NAERLS/ABU Conference Hall, with the theme “Safeguarding and Raising Awareness of Rock Arts from Cross River and Jigawa states
Mr. Little said they are interested in heritage of the people and Nigerian cultural heritage which includes engraving and painting on Rock Arts under the sponsorship of USA Embassy.
In his remarks, the Counselor, Public Affairs, US Embassy Abuja Mr. Aruna Amirthanagam said the workshop was all about presenting the Rock Arts which bring people working at the museum.
According to him, they want more people to visit Nigeria and have a glimpse of the heritage.
He said the project is ongoing and the team will be In Bauchi and Jigawa in the next two weeks.
The participants were drawn from Calabar, Bauchi, Birnin Kudu, Lagos, Jos, NCMM  and Ahmadu Bello University Zaria.
