Democracy Day: Buhari Hosts World Leaders To Dinner In Aso Rock

President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo on Tuesday night hosted visiting world leaders to a dinner and gala night at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, Abuja  as part of programme to  celebrate  June 12 as Nigeria’s Democracy day.

The event which took place at the Conference Center of the Presidential Villa, also played host to former Nigerian Presidents and heads of states, Vice Presidents, Presidents of Court’ of Appeal and Justices of the Supreme Court, Chief Justice of Nigeria, newly elected Speaker, of the House of Representatives  Femi Gbajabiamila and the President of the Senate, Ahmed Lawan.
Amongst the world leaders were Presidents  of Liberia, Rwanda, Gambia, Niger, Congo, Ghana, Chad, Uganda, Senegal, Mauritania and Italy.
Speaking at the dinner, Secretary of the Government of the Federation, SGF, Boss Mustapha said the maiden celebration of Democracy Day on June 12 was unique and only that it coincided with the election of new leadership of the National Assembly, but it also hosted Presidents and Heads of Government from different countries.
