Unlawful Gathering: File Of 41 Minors Sent To Ministry Of Justice For Advise

The case file of unlawful gathering filled before a Chief Magistrate Court Ibrahim Taiwo has been sent to the Ministry of Justice for Legal Advice.
The Prosecutor, DSP Martin Danjuma Leo stated this while the case was mentioned before the Court on Thursday May 30, 2019.
According  to him, investigation into the case has been concluded and file submitted to Ministry of Justice for further legal advise considering the age of the defendants.
He therefore, asked for a date for mention of the case.
However, the counsel to the 41 Defendants M B Yusuf said while he is not against the file been talking to the Ministry, he wants the Court to adjourn the case for hearing and not mentioning because the long delay of the trial is not in the best interest of the minors.
Counsel to the defendants asked for a date of hearing not mentioning.
The Chief Magistrate, Ibrahim Musa adjourned the matter to the 2nd July for hearing.
