New Yobe Governor Declares State Of Emergency On Education

The Executive Governor of Yobe State Mai Mala Buni has declared state of emergency in primary and secondary schools across the state.
Governor Mala Buni made the declaration on Wednesday in his speech shortly after talking of oath of office and of allegiance at the banquet hall of the Government House,  Damaturu.
Addressing the gathering Governor Mai Mala Buni expressed his gratitude to the people of the state for giving him the mandate to serve the state.
He said the state government under his leadership will introduce policies and programmes that will improve education, Agriculture, water supply and youth empowerment among developmental programs for the benefit of the people of the state.
Governor Mai Mala Buni said on the national new minimum wage his Administration will put in place all machinery to ensure that his government implement it.
Mai Mala assured the outgoing Governor that he will continue with policies and programs put in place in the state.
Earlier, the outgoing Governor, Ibrahim Gaidam expressed gratitude to the people of the state for giving him all the support during his ten years of office.
He called on the people of the state to render him all necessary support to do more developmental programs in the state for the benefit of the electorate.
