Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje alongside his deputy, Nasiru Gawuna were sworn-in in a colourful ceremony that was held at Sani Abacha stadium amidst tight security in Kano city.
Similarly, the Emir of Kano, Malam Muhammadu Sanusi II, refused to attend the governor’s second tenure inauguration despite the invitation given to him together with all the four newly created emirs which may be due to the misunderstanding between the governor and Kano Emir.
Most of the people disclosed that Emir Sanusi should accept what the government has done by creating four new additional emirates which is a welcome development as according to some traditional rulers that had a chat with our correspondent.
In his speech, governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje promised to make everything possible for the development of Kano, and assured that every citizen will feel more comfortable in his second tenure, where he thanked the entire people of Kano state for re-electing him for the second term.
