The inauguration/ swearing in publicity subcommittee has said that coming to the venue of the inauguration is strictly on invitation as June 12 is the day stated for democracy day.
This was disclosed by the chairman of the publicity subcommittee and also Commissioner Ministry of Home Affairs Information and Culture, Alhaji Mala Musti while briefing journalists on the level of preparation of the subcommittee towards the inauguration of the Governor elect Mai Mala Buni.
Speaking on the level of preparedness of the inauguration/swearing in publicity, the chairman of the subcommittee, Alhaji Mala Musti noted that the event will be a low keyed because of the pronouncement by President Muhammadu Buhari that henceforth, democracy day will be celebrated in 12 June every year.
He said, Yobe State being one of the states of the federation will not be exceptional noting that it will also follow suit.
Alhaji Mala Musti therefore, advised that people should not waste their time coming for the inauguration as it is strictly on invitation adding that all activities lined up for the democracy day are stated for June 12.
The committee chairman said the swearing in will take place at government House Damaturu by 9:30am adding that All the necessary seating arrangements, security among others have been put in place to ensure hitch free inauguration.
