Second Term Inauguration: Kaduna Rolls Out Activities For el-Rufai, Deputy

Organising Committee on the Inauguration and Swearing-in of the Second Term of Office of the Governor of Kaduna State Governor, Malam Nasir el-Rufai, and his deputy, Dr. Hadiza Balarabe has rolled out activities to herald the coming in of a new government in the state.
According to the Chairman, of the committee, Jafaru I. Sani, who is also the state commissioner for Education, in a statement, the events will commence Friday May 24, 2019, with prayers in all mosques across the State with top Government officials observing Juma’a prayers in Sultan Bello Mosque, Unguwar Sarki, Kaduna.
The statement also advised the people to offer prayers in all churches across the State while an ecumenical service will be held at the First Baptist Church,
Ibrahim Taiwo Road, Kaduna on Sunday May 26.
He added that the Governor Malam Nasir el-Rufai will declare open a photo exhibition which will last for one week on the achievements of his administration in the last four years on Monday May 27 at the Banquet Hall of General Hassan Usman Katsina House, Kawo Kaduna.
 
“Dr Joe Abah, Nigeria Country Director, Development Alternative Incorporated
(DAI) International Development will deliver the Inauguration lecture on
Tuesday May 28.
“The theme of the lecture, by the renowned public sector reform expert, is tagged “Taking Kaduna from Good to Great: The challenge of Personal Example”
“The Deputy Governor-elect Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa will make history as the first
democratically elected woman to the Oath of office at the Inauguration proper
which comes of on Wednesday may 29 at the Murtala Muhammad Square
Kaduna.
“In addition to the swearing-in, a detachment of the Nigerian Armed Forces and paramilitary institutions are expected to march past at the occasion.” Jafaru said.
 
He further stated that the Government of Malam Nasir El-Rufa’i remains focused on protecting and advancing the interest of the people first and therefore urged the citizens to pray for peace, stability and progress of Kaduna State.
