The 2019 Hajj fare has been announced in Bauchi by the State Muslims Pilgrim Welfare Board, pegging it at N1, 532, 974. 10.
Announcing the fare in his office, the Executive Secretary of the Board, Magaji Abdullahi Hardawa attributed the increase in the hajj fare to global inflation on prices of commodities in the Holy land.
He however explained that the fare could have been much higher but for the subsidy given by the state governor, Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar.
Hardawa therefore implored those that deposited their money for this year’s pilgrimage to Mecca from the state to complete payment of the fare before the end of this month.
Meanwhile, Muslims have been admonished to double their acts worship for the remaining days of the month of Ramadan.
The Chief Imam of Ummal Ibn Abdul’aziz Mosque, Ustaz Usman Giade made the plea during his Friday sermon, calling on wealthy Muslims to always assist the needy, and pay bills for the sick in the society.
He also appealed to the Muslims to have the fear of Allah in all their doings.
