As Christian faithful worldwide round up celebrations marking this year’s Easter, (the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ), Governor Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger State has tasked Christians to eternalize the virtues for which Jesus Christ exemplifies.
The governor in a statement said the cardinal standpoint of Jesus Christ remains love for humanity adding that those who adhere to the Christian faith must show love, tolerance and understanding to others in a world of multiplicity of race, culture, religion and creed.
Governor Sani Bello while felicitating with Christians in the state, reminded them to remain steadfast in the faith, be good citizens and patriotic and be lovers of peaceful coexistence with others.
He enjoined Christians to emulate the virtues of Jesus Christ who dedicated his lifetime to the course of mankind without let and made sacrifices for the good of all.
The statement signed by Jibrin Baba Ndace, spokesman of governor Sani Bello, said the Easter period should serve as reminders to Christians of the need to to live above board and make personal sacrifices to make the world a better place.
He urged Christians to make sacrifices for the growth and development of the state by putting in the state first in everything.
He used the opportunity of the Easter celebration to call on civil servants and other stakeholders in the state to ensure they make quality contributions to the development of the so that Niger state would be a better place for all.
The statement quoted the governor as reaffirming his administration’s determination to provide good governance, serve the state and work for the improvement of the lives of all citizens in the state.
