Football Supporters Club has announced plans to storm Egypt with about 500 members to drum support for the Super Eagles at the forthcoming Nations Cup.
Disclosing this to the New Nigerian Sports on Wednesday when he officially unveiled plans being put in place by the. club to support the various national teams as they prepare to participle in World Cups and Nations Cup, National Chairman of the club, Rev Samuel Ikpea announced that the club is making necessary arrangements with the various embassies to ensure that travel documents are procured on time for members.
Nigeria will this year participate in Africa Nations Cup in Egypt, Women World Cup in France, U-20 World Cup in Poland and the U-17 World Cup in Brazil and Ikpea is optimistic that the Supporters Club as the number 12th player on the pitch will be there to cheer the teams to victory even as he commended their sponsors and most especially Globacom Telecommunications and others bodies that have stood by the club.
” I want to assure Nigerians that we’ ve started arrangement with all stakeholders towards a successful outing at the various competitions our teams will participate this year.
” We’ re also discussing with various embassies on issuing travel documents to our members and also in touch with the Nigeria Football Federation ( NFF ) and they have given us assurances in terms of corporation”, he said.
Ikpea used the occasion to alert Nigerians on the activities of some persons and groups who are not only parading themselves as members of the club but have also commenced activities that involves financial implications advising that nobody should deal with such individuals or group but with only the club.

We want to advise Nigerians to be weary of such individuals. All transactions must be through our club which is over 60 years and have a name to protect”, he concluded.
