He thanked the people for taking their time to come there and welcome him.

“I am  grateful for your votes for President Muhammadu Buhari and Governorship Election by coming out in large numbers to vote for  me and members of House of Assembly.”

He appealed to the leadership of State House of Assembly to maintain the leadership that has served the state so diligently for the past four years to continue their good work.

“Kaduna State has always voted for President Buhari since he first contested in  2003 he has never lost Kaduna State it is not a shock that he won the election this time.”

“Anyone that says he has  defeated the President is either dreaming of being a President or he needs psychiatric assistance.”

He appealed to the people to live in peace and harmony.

“We are all saddened by the violence in some  communities like Birnin Gwari, Kajuru, and lately in  Sanga,” he said, while praying for the families of those that lost their loved ones and their  souls to rest in peace.

“All the communities are now calm the security agencies are there to protect the people,” he said.

el-Rufai disclosed that he was at the Presidential Villa on Friday afternoon, where he had a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari on security issues, saying he raised the security issues with President Buhari to increase security agencies in those areas.

He appealed to all the communities to come together, adding that, the government can do what they can the security agency can do what they can only if the the communities live in peace before they  can achieve peace among themselves.

He further said, he was grateful to the people of the state for giving him  the mantle of leadership, citing that they see it as their  responsibility to be fair and  just to everyone.

He urged the people of the state to live in peace with one another and end  violent conflicts as the security are doing everything possible to make sure the people enjoy peace in the state.

He said he believes that elections are over, it is time for governance, while  calling on all their opponents and supporters to put hands together and unite for the progress of the state.

On his part, he promised to put hands together with his deputy to work hard for development and the progress of the state.

According to him, they will devote their time to education, health sector, infrastructure, and correct past errors as  their ears are open to suggestions on how to do things better.

He assured that he will be fair and just to the people in the state whether they voted for him or not, while appealing to all leaders voted in to carry everyone along.
