Women turnout has promoted peacefull  conduct of gubernatorial election in rural areas across Kano State.

It was observed that female voters dominated almost all the polling units as monitored by our correspondent.

Most of the female voters came out in numbers where they cast their votes as early as 8am before the polling units were overcrowded, which shows that in Kano rural areas, voting was peaceful and in accordance with the national electoral body’s regulations.

Similarly, the security personnel that were attached to each poling unit discharged their duties as scheduled  according to our correspondent’s observation, while most of the stakeholders interviewed by New Nigerian described the gubernatorial and state assembly election as free and fair.

More details  coming as election continues in polling units that have higher population.
