APC Will Win Oyo Guber Election, Ajimobi Says As Adelabu Expresses Optimism

Governor Abiola Ajimobi on Saturday said the governorship candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, Chief Adebayo Adelabu  will scale through in the governorship elections.

Also, the APC governorship candidate, Chief  Adebayo Adelabu  has expressed confidence in the ability of  the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in  conducting  a very credible  poll.

Speaking with journalists after casting his vote at the Ibadan South West ward 11 unit 20, the governor lauded the peaceful conduct of the election, especially at his unit.

Governor Ajimobi stressed that so far, INEC has been able to scale through in the conduct of the election going by the situation in the Saturday polls despite that there were cases of low turn out in some parts of the state.

He emphasized that with the unfolding events, there are indications that the APC governorship candidate in Oyo state will scale through in the election.

The APC governorship candidate, Chief Adebayo Adelabu in a chat with journalists after casting his vote at his polling unit 10, Ward 009 in Oke Odo area of Ibadan South East of Oyo state alongside his wife, Mrs Oluwaseyi Adelabu said INEC has been able to learned from its mistake in the last Presidential and House of Assembly elections.

According to Chief Adelabu, the ad hoc staffs deployed for the  election showed “expertise in their skills”.

The APC governorship candidate while expressing  satisfactions at the turn out of the electorates in the areas said the people of the state have really come out decides.

“I am happy to come out and cast my vote today as everything goes on peacefully and smoothly. As you can see, the turn out is very massive and also impressive , and there is no act of thuggery here too.
I can also tell you that the process is plain, free and fair. And i so much believed that we are going to have a credible election at the end.” he said.

Chief Adelabu added, ” INEC has learnt from the mistakes of the last presidential and national assembly election as it shows that its personnel appears to have been better trained now.I have confidence in INEC that the results which will emerge from this election would be a credible results and it will be acceptable”
